New Trend Alert : The Bandanna

Like it or not the bandanna is back and stronger than ever! The re-emergence of 90s and early 2000s fashion is apparent as bucket hats, rhinestones, tracksuits and low rise jeans appear on my Instagram feed. Now influencers, models and Spring/ Summer fashion collections are featured wearing bandannas as a versatile piece and looking chic!

This summer, try new and effortless ways to style a bandanna for 2020. Here's 7 ways to wear this Y2k revival styled by me.

1. The Classic Bandanna Style

Find your grandma's most printed and colorful silk scarves and try this trend out the classic way. Position your bandanna like a diamond then fold in half for a triangle. Position the bandanna on the top of your head then tie it.

Whether you're having a bad hair day or need to protect your head from the sun's rays, it's a easy way to make a statement and experiment with your style this summer!

2. The Bandanna Top

Don't know what to wear because all stores are still closed and online shopping isn't your friend right now because you've pulled on weight? No? Only me? Well then nonetheless definitely try wearing your bandanna as a top for cool new alternative tube top to add into your wardrobe.

3. The Bandanna Belt

Take a bandanna and fold it into a thin rectangle for a thin belt to accessorize your denim shorts or to cinch your waist with a dress! It's a great way to make a statement to a boring monotone outfit.

4. The Turban

Position your bandanna into a diamond. Then fold into a triangle and continue to fold until it's a long rectangle. Wrap your bandanna starting from the top your head twice and make a front knot in the middle for a customized and cute turban piece. It's a chic way to accessorize your hair and keep it away from your face!

5. The Headband

Position your bandanna into diamond. Then fold it into a triangle, continue to fold until it's a thin long rectangle. Wrap the bandanna starting from the top of your head and tie it in the back for a cute headband look. This is another great way to stay cool from the heat and make a statement!

6. The Hair-tie

Bored of your scrunchies and want more variety? Try wearing your bandanna as a new hair tie! Simply fold your bandanna into a thin long rectangle piece and tie it into a low ponytail for sleek effortless look!

7. The Face mask

Most importantly, a great way to use a bandanna is as a easy DIY face mask. No need to spend money on face masks to leave your home. Simply find a cotton bandanna and fold into a triangle then tie it in the back to cover your nose and mouth.

I found these two H&M bandannas laying around my house that I bought ages ago.
